Uplifting Our Community to Pursue Happiness
The name AMAN (امن) is deeply rooted in both Arabic and Urdu, symbolizing peace, safety, and security. Aman represents more than just the absence of conflict – it embodies a state of tranquility, trust, and mutual protection. The concept of Aman (امن) in Islamic tradition is an active commitment to justice, harmony, and coexistence via the protection of human dignity, the fostering of goodwill among diverse communities, and the pursuit of a world where all individuals feel secure.

AMAN operates nationally and locally to uplift Muslim Americans and strengthen American society for all. Specifically, our programs:
AMAN’s National Imams Council connects spiritual leaders and offers services like our American Moonsighting Committee and American Fatwa Council. AMAN also mobilizes volunteers to provide community services to the needy.
AMAN’s flagship mosque, the Madina Masjid in Brooklyn, provides an array of spiritual services and interfaith outreach. The mosque’s pioneering programs are shared across America via our national network of imams.
AMAN is focused on providing a new generation of American Muslims with faith teachings, spiritual sessions, and career building to connect to their heritage and prepare for the future.
